Jim was born at Richmond Hospital on November 2, 1948. He was a lifelong resident of Point Richmond. Beloved husband of Linda, father of James and Michael, brother to Frank and Johnny, uncle of many nieces and nephews, and grandfather of Amber. He graduated from Harry Ells High School in Richmond. He worked as a Warehouseman for Safeway. He was a lifelong athlete, particularly softball, martial arts and golf. He was an involved father and helped coach his son's high school baseball team. Although he had multiple health challenges in his later years, he kept a positive attitude. He was a tower of strength for his family and friends. He was a devout Catholic and attended Our Lady of Mercy Church. Due to Covid there will be a private service held in the near future.
