May 21, 2003 - December 31, 2020
Resident of Pleasanton
On Thursday, December 31, 2020, the light and purpose of our lives, our 17-year-old son, Daniel Pysarevskyy, passed away in his sleep.
He was survived by his biological mother Tanya Careccia, step-father Frank Careccia, biological father Ivan Pysarevskyy, step-mother Xiaoyan Sun and a sister Ashley Pysarevska.
Daniel was a Senior at Monte Vista HS in San Ramon, CA, and was set to graduate in June of 2021.
Daniel loved to travel. Together, we had the opportunity to experience many new cultures and places together. From Europe to Asia, he has been to more places in his life than most people will experience in their own lifetime. Most of all, Daniel was in love with Japan, its art, lifestyle, and, most of all - its cars. He was planning on a year-long immersive sabbatical there prior to starting college.
As an avid reader, he was most inquisitive on topics of interest to him, from the making of the Titanic to its final sinking, its technical construction, and survivor stories.
Daniel loved to drive his red Japanese car on country roads and lovingly called it Sakuya. Occasionally he would sit in his car on a sunny day staring at the sky, dreaming of life ahead, enjoying the wonders of the world, and just being alive. He also enjoyed the practical aspects of driving, such as being in control with a stick shift. He learned how to drift and race on tracks, drove an Armed Personnel Carrier on the occasion.
Daniel was investing a lot of his time and energy in understanding the workings of the modern financial world. He was a successful investor being on the precipice of turning a hobby into a real career path.
In group settings, Daniel was the leader. To his inner circle of friends, he provided guidance, comfort, and support. Daniel shined the light and love all around him.
During his presence in our lives, Daniel has taught us how to look at the world in so many new, different, and wonderful ways. His inquisitive mind made us re-examine how we view the world ourselves.
We enjoyed shaping his worldviews as he was helping us reshape our own.
His love for his family, friends, and life was endless. Daniel gave us 17 amazing years; though too short, we thank God for giving him to us.
Daniel, you will always live in our hearts and memories.
A visitation will be held at the Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 First St in Pleasanton from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021. Graveside Services will follow at the St Augustine Catholic Cemetery, 5750 Sunol Blvd in Pleasanton at 2:00pm.
