I attended the Oliver Gagliani Zone System workshop in Virginia City, NV, while at University of Missouri-Columbia back in 1980. I was a big fan of Ansel Adams at the time and now I am even a bigger fan of Oliver's work. Somewhere I still have a portrait I took of him while at the workshop. My Photography professor at college was also an attendee of this workshop and was the one who told me about it. Oliver was a very kind man. I really enjoyed my time with him and sharing my photographs with him. He really helped me to fully refine and understand the Zone system. It is a memory and an experience now at age 63 that I will never forget. I had such a wonderful time when I was there. I miss him.
