I had the pleasure of knowing Bob through his daughters Jackie and Susan during the years 1975 - 1983 when I lived in Brevard County. Bob was always a gracious host and always involved behind the scenes opening his home to host get togethers for his busy daughters. Irma had a wonderful partner to share her life with. Bob opened his home to the pilots that came from Israel to train at Patrick, making strong connections. He managed to create a bond that has lasted throughout the years over the oceans. He will be missed

Perry and I have known Bob through the 44th Bomb Group and also the 2nd Air Division. He attended those meeting faithfully.
As Editor of the 8 Ball Tails, I was delighted to write the story of his crash. He rewarded the Englishman who packed his parachute, out of gratitude that it brought him down safely. That was typical of Bob. Love and sympathy to Irma from Ruth & Perry Morse.

Bob was a frequent customer at Longdogger's in Satellite beach where I work. A few times a week he would come in for his usual..hot dog and a coke. I would say to him,"Bob, you staying out of trouble today? and he would reply, "I'm trying Blondie". He was always so sweet and pleasant. We are all gonna miss you Bob! To his family...so sorry for your loss.

I had the great pleasure and honor of meeting Lt. Colonel Dubowsky on a few occasions in the late '80s and '90s. Within moments of meeting him, it became abundantly clear that he was a man of great moral conviction whose love for his family was limitless. I could not help but to respect and admire this man of great presence. Although I cannot say I knew him well, I'm certain he was a giant among men to those closest to him.
To my dear Jackie: I have cherished our unique friendship for 25 years. I cannot begin to express my sorrow for your loss. Today, I share your pain in the way we have shared so much throughout the years. Always with me, always with you.
To the entire extended Dubowsky family, especially Jackie, her radiant sister Susan and the wonderful Mrs. Irma Dubowsky: May your hearts be still of grief and alive with the joy that Bob brought to this world. Today we have tears in our eyes but tomorrow we will be all smiles as we remember the man who honored us with his humor, grace, dignity, compassion and love.
Respectfully, Bob Armillei

I met Bob only once when he and Irma were visiting Jacquline in Winter Park, and I shall always remember him. We had such a good chat, and I knew immediately that he was a man of character and passion. We can all be thankful for knowing him and for all he did for our country and all those who's lives he touched. My prayers are with Irma, Jacqueline, Susan and the grandkids. With love, Jim Sturdevant, Indianapolis

It is often said that the greatest measure of a person is the child he/she raises in this world. In Susan we see all the wonderful qualities of her father - compassion, intelligence, devotion, dedication and love. May you rest in peace Mr. Dubowsky and know that your spirit and values live on in each the generations of your family.

I did not had the honor to meet Mr. Dubowsky in Person but heard about him from Susan so many times, about his contribution to WW2 victory over the Nazis, about his military career and how much Susan learned from him.

I remember working with Robert and learning from him in my 10-year Docent stint with the CCAFS Space and Missile Museum and he will be sorely missed by all. He was a man who inspired others with his substantial knowledge, faith and perseverance. He has been added to the goflight.org Space Worker Memorials page today. Tom McKeever

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we heard about the passing of Lt. Col Dubowsky. Our condolences, prayers and love go out to Mrs. Dubowsky, Jackie, Susie, and to all the extended Dubowsky Family. Col. Dubowsky was a true war hero and someone who believed in contributing to society as he demonstrated in life by continuing to serve his community through his volunteer work. He will always be a big part of our memories from sharing Passover Seders, to attending weddings, bar mitzvahs and other family simchas (happy festivities) of each of our families, to hearing his war stories.
Rest in Peace Col. Dubowsky.
Danny, Joyce, Adar, Nadav, and Zoe Reed.

I had the privilege of knowing Bob for most of my life. Bob was a great story teller and I always looked forward to getting Bob’s perspective. It didn’t matter about what he talked about; trips across the US, Middle East politics, flying combat missions over occupied Europe and Germany, or how to make the best compost, conversation with Bob was always interesting and enjoyable. I know that I join many in saying that I’m going to miss him. His life story and stories about life remain with us along with his family that I know and love so much. JK

The entire Reed family always enjoyed being in the company of Bob - he was truly a friend and mench. We had such fun no matter where we were together - Israel, Greece or Florida. We will miss him.

We send our condolences from Port Everglades Towing and Hvide Shipping, although a lot of the crew have gone on. Those left behind; certainly cherish the great memories.
