Jeffrey Wheeler Obituary
There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 15) at the McGuigan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery immediately following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church in Canandaigua or to the Beverly Animal Shelter in Waterloo.
Jeff was born on December 15, 1967, in Geneva, the son of the late Francis D. and Patricia Murphy Wheeler. Jeff graduated from Geneva High School and for many years was a self-employed flooring contractor, installing flooring for several of the area carpet and flooring businesses. Jeff was a great lover of nature and delighted in the change of seasons, especially fall in the Finger Lakes. Jeff was a very sensitive and caring man who loved animals and other small creatures. He was an avid fisherman and spent many hours on Seneca Lake with his father. Jeff also took pride in his nieces and nephews and was very fond of his great-nephew, Chase.
Jeff is survived by his three brothers: Gordon (Mary Alice) Wheeler of Geneva, Robert J. Wheeler of Ithaca and Donald (Jonalle) Wheeler of Geneva; two sisters: Cynthia A. Smith of Geneva and Lou Anne (Rick) Bishop of Ithaca; nieces and nephews: Steve Wheeler, Mark (Carrie) Wheeler and great nephew, Matthew, Alex and Sophie Wheeler, Heather (Randy) McPherson and great-nephew and niece, Jake and Kayla, Rob (Lisa Marciniak) Smith, Dan Smith, Shaun (Julie) Smith and great nieces, Shelby and Maggie, Kelly Smith, Ryan Smith, Jessica Bishop and great-nephew, Chase; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and also he leaves behind some very special friends at St. Mary's Church in Canandaigua.

To all of the Wheeler family. We only knew Jeff through his brother, Don who was/is friends with our son. We want you to know how truly sorry we are for you to lose Jeff at such a young age.
