Gravino, Richard P. Jan. 24, 1965 - Jun. 24, 2014 Richard P. Gravino left this life for a greater one on June 24th 2014. He was born January 24th, 1965 and passed away on June 24th 2014. He was son of Richard R. and Margit Gravino, brother to sister Jill Gravino, father to daughter Erika Gravino. Nephew of Nicholas A. Gravino, Robert Dowhower, David Dowhower, Joseph Lanphier and Thomas Lanphier, Helmut and Petra Niedermayer, Kenneth (deceased) and Doris Dunlap. Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert L and Margaret Dowhower and Walter and Anni Dallmann. Richard was born in Lebanon Pennsylvania and moved with his parents to San Angelo, Texas, Miami, Florida, Seattle, Washington and Chicago, Illinois. He also relocated many times during his professional pursuits finally ending up living in Riverview Florida where he loved the area. In 1983, he graduated from Buffalo Grove high school located in Arlington Heights, Illinois and was awarded a degree in Computer Science from DeVry University in Chicago, Illinois in 1987. Richard held many managerial and operational positions throughout his career within Information Technology. His most recent position was as an Application Support Manager with J.P. Morgan Chase in Tampa, Florida. Richard will be sorely missed by his parents, daughter, sister, all of his relatives, friends and all who knew him on Facebook, especially his intended fiancé Timi Gambina. It is with a heavy heart that we say farewell to a wonderful son, father, brother and dear friend. Rich, you will be loved and remain in our memories forever. There will be a public viewing on Tuesday July 1st, 2014 at Toale Brothers Funeral Home between the hours of 6 - 8PM. Location address is 40 North Orange Avenue, Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rich's name to the Southeastern Guide Dogs Association by going to the website http://www.guidedogs.org/support-us/donate/ or by mail at 4210 77th Street, East Palmetto, FL 34221.
