Marguerite L. Budd
Quincy - Marguerite L. Budd, 100, of Quincy, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Drews Place of Coldwater. She was born July 1, 1920 to Alvin and Nellie (Harrison) Carlton. She married James Leonard Budd and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2001.
Marguerite graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. Through the years she and her husband, Leonard had owned and operated several local businesses including Budd's Body Shop, Lakeside Sales and Service, Budd Lawn and Marine and Lakes End Campground.
Marguerite was a devoted member of the Union Church in Quincy, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, preparing meals for the Quincy Rotary Club, and participating in Martha's Circle and prayer groups.
Survivors include four children, Melvin (Victoria) Budd of Homosassa, FL, Mike (Callie) Budd of Quincy, Bonnie (Paul) Birdsall of Hillsdale and Sally Budd of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Victoria (Greg) Werner, Jason (Laura) Budd, Callie (Erik) Butchart, Aaron (Bethany) Budd, Joel (Barbie) Budd, Troy (Emily) Adams and Jeremy (Jaimie) Adams; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; fourteen step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jack; and siblings, Olive Patterson, Lola Versaw and Alvin Carlton.
Funeral services for Marguerite Budd will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Union Church in Quincy with Mike Budd officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.

Marguerite was the sweetest person, so glad to meet her and it was a pleasure to help with her life at Drews. Will miss her at Bingo, her favorite!
