Sergeant First Class Michael A. Green entered into Eternal Rest on March 20, 2020. He was a proud member of Heru #10 of H.B. Turner Grand Lodge of Texas and Active Reserve of the U.S. Army.
His life will be celebrated Monday, March 30th, 11:00 A.M. at Mabrie Memorial Mortuary. Visitation will be prior to service beginning at 9:00 A.M until 11:00 A.M. Please be mindful that the Celebration of Life service will be attended privately and that the visitation is available to all who wish to have a quiet moment with Mr. Green.
In God's care, he leaves his daughter, Mikelcey Green; lifetime companion, LaQuita Thomas; bonus daughters, Cambridge and Kaylin Thomas; loving mother, Loicey Reed Green; brother, Ronald C. Green; godmother, Clarice Hollins; many dear relatives and loyal friends.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his father, David Ronald Green.
Private interment will be at Houston National Cemetery.

Mike and I were friends and worked together from the time he entered the post office until I left in 2009. We had very deep conversations, one veteran to another and he will be truly missed. He was a very special person.

Green was a kind soul. Always had a smile on his face. As a soldier, he was always ready to help. Ready to answer any question and give guidance. And never made you feel stupid for not knowing. He was always positive. You could recognize his voice from a mile away! And he spoke fast so you had to listen fast! Man. This hurts my heart. Ready easy brother. SFC Green was one of the coolest and most respectable men Ive met in my military career. Always calm and collected and never without a smile on his face. The last time I spoke to him, he was considering retiring but wasnt quite ready. He was a soldier through and through. He will truly be missed but his legacy will endure.

My Condolences to the Green family. Mike was one of the first people I met when I moved to Houston. He became my advisor for all things related to the Military. I am about to retire and never would have made it without him. More importantly he was a great friend and one of the best people I have met here. Several weeks ago I was walking instead of running during the PT test and some guy was heckling me from the parking lot. I looked over and there was Green with his big grin. That the last time I saw him. RIP Mike Green.
