Tony DiPardo was instrumental in encouraging my Mother's Singing Career. Her name was Mrs. Betty Ann [Bryan] Craft.
Betty spoke very highly of Tony. She honored his encouragement by being a singer who sang in about 15 languages, and it is my firm impression that she was offered a 10 year contract from Disneyland, a contract longer than any other woman singer like her. Of this, our whole family will pray for you, and Thank You ever so sincerely!
John Crooks, Betty Ann Craft's son.

I just learned of Tony DiPardo's passing. I went to Eastwood Elementary School many years ago and was in the same grade as his son, Tony. My mother, who passed away in 2006, spoke of and enjoyed his performances in various locations throughout her life. My deepest sympathy to all of his family.

Tony DiPardo was a longtime friend to my own dad---the late Charles W. Fisher---who served on the City Council and was a Past Potentate of Ararat Shrine Temple in Kansas City, MO. Tony entertained so many Kansas City friends across so many years and he was always the perfect gentleman!
I last visited Tony shortly before his hip fracture and he was as optimistic as ever. In addition to my dad's friendship, Tony enjoyed the friendship of the late H. Roe Bartle, the Mayor of Kansas City when my dad served on the Council.
Tony will be missed but his music will live on forever! My prayers are with his family.
PAX and love!

It was wonderful to call Tony our friend. We have many wonderful memories of Tony whether it was doing charity work on Red Fridays, racing or seeing him at each Chiefs game before going to our seats. It was a thrill to get to know Tony personally and visit his home. What a gentle and kind man who loved everyone and was so thankful for all of his blessings. You earned them all Tony! You were also blessed with a lovely wife Dottie, daughter, Patty and son-in-law, Robert. Our hearts go out to the family and we miss Tony dearly. You are home now Tony but you will always be in the hearts of many and remembering you will put a smile on all of our faces! GOD BLESS YOU

I was fortunate to have worked with Tony when he was the headliner for a convention I was responsible for back in the late '70s. He was funny, self-effacing and so gracious. We were so thrilled to have him, but he acted like it was his first big gig! Folks like Tony are rare indeed and the world is a better place for his having been here.
I'm pretty sure he's leading the TD Pack band for the Big Guy!

Doddie, Patti,and the DiPardo family,
Rene and I loved Tony and deeply regret that we could not express our feelings to you in person-for his smile, the thumbs up gestures, and hugs given whenever we met.The weather made it so difficult just to get home that evening from our jobs to come to Tony's memorial reception, and if we had ventured out to come, I doubt if we could have made it.
We do wish to express our heart felt sorrow over your loss, and indeed, the loss for us all who shall dearly miss the trumpeting cherub in our lives-surely one of God's special gifts was Tony DiPardo- a beam of light always shining in Kansas City. May God wrap you in His arms as He does now for Tony in heaven.
Our love and prayers are offered for you and all the DiPardo family.

From him backing us singing at the Italian Festas to just running in to him around town~he ALWAYS made our day! He will be sorely missed by those who had the beautiful chance to meet and know him. My Father and Mother, Mae and Jim Cariddi, are especially saddened and send their best and heartfelt condolences. Heaven just got it's BEST!

To Doddie, Patty, Tony Jr and the Di Pardo Family
I always thought Tony was immortal....but I figure the good Lord needed a big band leader. Tony was larger than life to me....never met a stranger....had more friends who loved him and what he did for the KC community. He was most generous of his time if you had a charity event. He was the "face" as the official starter of the Len Dawson Celebrity Classic for over 15 years.
The good Lord blessed us all with his presence.....I am forever grateful for his kindness and friendship. I am a better person for knowing Tony and the DiPardo family.
My memories of Tony are so precious...and bring a smile to my face.
Play on Mr Music....you are the Lord's Band Leader.
But I miss you.....my sympathy to all the DiPardo's.

Chiefs games were not the same without Tony & the band. The spirit of the crowd was always lifted when he'd raise his trumpet in salute to the crowd. I was fortunate to have known Tony for quite a few years through the music business. I have always had the utmost respect and admiration for him. I loved working for him, and with him as well as Patti. When I got to be on stage as part of his organization, that's when I considered myself a real musician. I will keep him and his lessons in my head and heart for as long as I live. Thank you Tony!!!! John Isom Clearview City, Ks.

Tony provided us with Chiefs seats through my sister, Joyce Spencer. I was at many great games because of Tony. When I spoke to him after I lost my sister, he told me that there would never be another Joyce Spencer. I thought that was very kind. He also told me that he had a picture that he would show me of him and Tommy Dorsey selling war bonds. I regret that I never got to see the picture. Thanks for the kind words and the memories, Tony.
