Hadleigh,
i remember clearly the school years flying by and every summer when school let out we would all hang out at the pool. you would get the worst sun burn! haha, the smallest details of even elementary school with you often play in my head. Its crazy.. not many people can say they went to elementary school with the same person they went to beachweek with. I'm glad I got to know you for so long, keep watching over us all. Garrett misses you a lot. I did my best to console him. Your family is in my prayers. Stay happy, we miss you.

Kathy and Crystal,
I just learned today that Hadleigh had passed. I'm so sorry. Had I known I would have contacted you earlier. He was a sweet boy, strong and brave. Y'all's influence on him truly enriched his life and was always a sign to me of the goodness in mankind when so much of the worst is in the forefront. May God comfort you during this time, and know what an inspiration y'all are.

Hadleigh, what a great time we had playing softball together. You were such a good player and friend on our Bad News Bears Team a.k.a. Brio softball:) Although we knew each other for only a short time you had a contagious personality and a smile that will never be forgotten. I know you're in a better place now, but you will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hoo Yah Hadleigh,
As you smile and look down on us every morning at 5:45am til 6pm, we will return it with every Hagler and Sit-up we do. I met you 3 years ago while working with your meema Jean and was impressed with your love of the guitar. I would of never thought, back then, that we would have a chance to meet again while doing push-ups together at SealTeam. Thank you so much for your positive attitude while holding me above your head. You will always be in my prayers.
Kathy and Jean~My thoughts are with you and your family and you know I'm available anytime by cell.

Kathy, Mike and Crystal, may God bless and be with you. There are no words to tell you how sorry I am for you all and I know how much it hurts to lose someone you love but God is there and so is Mike and Hadleigh they all will bring each of you threw this and somehow let you find some peace in knowing they are all together and know that you are not alone. Hadleigh was so loved and blessed to have been part of you all. Keep your faith that he is all right now and you all will be together again.

My dad used to coach Hadleigh's track team so naturally, I knew Hadleigh. He was always nice to everyone and it was great to see him all the time. I'm sorry he's gone but know he is now with God.

Heaven is a wonderful place. My mom died when I was 16, now I am 41, nothing since then has ever hurt as much. I have become stronger for her love she gave me and my aunts tell me I am just like her today. I have made it a point to live my life to honor her, to the fullest, and face challenges, it made me brave. I believe she is with me and proud of my choices and my children. Penny, Hadleigh talked to me about you several times. I could tell how much he cared about you. Be brave and strong and we are thinking and praying for you.

He Only Took My Hand
"Last night while I was trying to sleep,
My son's voice I did hear
I opened my eyes and looked around,
But he did not appear.
He said: "Mom you've got to listen,
You've got to understand
God didn't take me from you, mom
He only took my hand.
When I called out in pain that night,
The instant that I died,
He reached down and took my hand,
And pulled me to His side.
He pulled me up and saved me
From the misery and pain.
My body was hurt so badly inside,
I could never be the same.
My search is really over now,
I've found happiness within,
All the answers to my empty dreams
And all that might have been.
I love you all and miss you so,
And I'll always be nearby.
My body's gone forever,
But my spirit will never die!
And so, you must all go on now,
Live one day at a time.
Just understand-
God did not take me from you,
He only took my hand."
