Billy Ray McCord joined his Lord and Savior in Heaven on September 9, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. McCord was born August 26, 1934, the first of triplets, to Morris and Grace (Combs) McCord in Weaver, Texas in Hopkins County. He graduated from Cumby High School, served in the United States Army and was a member of the Hopkins Masonic Lodge #180. He retired from Continental Emsco after almost 37 years and was a longtime member of the Northside Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. He married his loving wife, Mary Dunihoo, of over 60 years on December 21, 1953 in Commerce, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Kenneth McCord and his wife, Sandra, of Wylie, Texas; one granddaughter, Kendra McCord of Wylie, Texas; one sister, Sarah Miller of Como, Texas; three brothers, Benny McCord (one of the triplets)of Fredericksburg, Texas, Loyd McCord of Springdale, Arkansas, James McCord of Brashear, Texas and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Morris McCord Jr. and Bobby McCord (one of the triplets). Family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Friday September 12, 2014 at the Charles W Smith & Sons Funeral Home 2925 Fifth St Sachse, Texas. His Funeral Service will be at 10:00am Saturday September 13, 2014 at the Northside Baptist Church 2510 N. Glenbrook Dr Garland, Texas 75040, Committal will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cumby, Texas. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Association.

Hi Kenneth, Mary and family. I'm so sorry. I was in Stamford, TX dove hunting with Kyle Williams and Kevin Moore when I heard. Mom and dad are in Colorado. We're all sorry we missed the services. I don't ever remember not knowing your dad. God be with you.
