I had the pleasure of working with Chet at the Denver EEOC office. He really cared about his employees. May he rest in peace.

He was a great teacher. I joined EEOC in 1987 and he was one of our leaders in class. The first time I saw him I knew he loved civil rights and human rights. He will always be in my thoughts as always. So sorry that he is gone but he left a great deal of people who he taught and mentored though out his career. He could handle the best of the best. Interesting that just a few days ago I thought about him and now I find out he is gone back to the universe. So sorry for his family and closest friends. He will be missed. Love, respect and loyalty to this man!

I had the honor of working under Mr. Bailey during his last two years at the EEOC in Phoenix.
I was one of the people at the bottom of the office totem (lowest grade, new to the federal government, etc.) but that did not stop Mr. Bailey from being warm, encouraging, and making me feel like I was part of the team; and that my work matter to the general mission of the Agency.
I join the family in their sorrow for his loss.

So very sorry to hear about Chet's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at the EEOC. I'll never forget when he played a joke on me. He told me that Whitney Houston was signing autographs at Boston Store. I was so happy. He came back from lunch and handed me a napkin supposedly signed by Whitney. It wasn't, she wasn't there! He signed the napkin. We both got a good laugh out of that one. Chet, you will be truly missed.
