GLENNA NORTH Obituary

Glenna Henderson North

Glenna Henderson North, 59, of 401 Gooseridge Drive, Forest died Friday, August 17 2012 at Virginia Baptist Hospital of Lynchburg. She was the wife of Ryan Calvin North, Sr. She was born June 5, 1953 in Altavista, a daughter of Orin Oliver Henderson and Ora Burgess Henderson. She was a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church and an employee of The Moose Lodge of Lynchburg #1727.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one son, Ryan "RC" Calvin North, Jr. and his wife Becky of Lynchburg; one daughter, Christi North O'Daniel her husband Matt of Lynchburg; one brothers, Otis O. Henderson and his wife Norma of Lynchburg; five sisters, Sarah J. Sligh and her husband Jimmy of Madison Heights, Deborah J. Bennett of Rustburg, Cheryl H. Soult and her husband Ronnie of Madison Heights, Karen H. Patterson and her husband Randy of Bedford, Donna H. Dodd and her husband Bo of Monroe; five grandchildren, Joshua Oliver Gartner, Hannah May Mobley, Mattie Grace O'Daniel, Ryan Colin North and Reagan Cassidy North; one great grandchild Marley Renee Gartner and a special granddaughter in-law Jessica Pitts; and a host of special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2012 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. Dr. Rob Colwell and Rev. Tim Wilde with interment to follow in Altavista Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Timberlake United Methodist Church, Lynchburg. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Sunday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the residence of Christi, 185 Lakehaven Pl., Lynchburg, VA 24502. The family would also like to thank Centra Hospice for their loving care and the support of Billy Craft Honda and Blue Ridge Beverage. I'm so sorry for your loss.I know your hearTts are hurting.We were born on the same day,had our first job together @Lendy's Big Boy.We have had such fun times together in our younger years.Time passes and you lose touch.I I ask about Glenna often and thought about our fun times all the time.She was a very special person and I will always love Glenna.My heart goes out to her whole family.RIP my friend.
