We are so broken hearted to hear of Dr. Zaim's passing. He was the beloved doctor of my husband. He gave us hope when we were given a meek diagnosis when my husband was 36 years old but unlike other doctors, Dr. Zaim was positive and I believe my husband is still alive because of his wonderful care. My husband will now turn 50 years old this month and is doing pretty well considering. We will miss you Dr.Zaim. Our deepest condolences to his family.

Im so heartbroken to have learned that Dr. Zaim has passed away. Every so often, we meet those very special doctors that brighten our lives. Dr. Zaim was one of those doctors. Ill always remember and cherish the conversations Dr. Zaim and I had during my visit. He was compassionate, and truly enjoyed the work he did. He took his time to listen. His tone of voice was always calm and reassuring. Dr. Zaim, the lights in your office may be out, but your legacy will always be bright! You are missed tremendously! Rest In Peace .....

Sina, my old friend, I remembrer our time at Lausanne Medical School. We met in Les Falaises studying hard and we remained closely linked through the love of our vocation. We also loves Music, especially electric music. Blues and rock could alternatively arouse interest, but we enjoyed Classic, too, or even medieval music in the old church of Valère in Sion or ottoman music in Istanbul. Many things found interest in your widely opened mind and sensitive soul. Now let me be inspired by all you gave us generously : your friendship, your kindness every time we met and your deep sense of Humanity.

I am extremely saddened to learn of Sina's passing. He was such a wonderful, caring and kind person. I had the honor and pleasure of maintaining his cherished guitar collection. We would talk at great length about all things guitar and music. He truly loved it and It made him feel like a kid again. Last we spoke he was so much looking forward to playing the guitars we were currently preparing for him. He sounded positive and strong and told me he was doing what he had to do and I'm sure he gave those patients 110%. Rest in Peace Dear Friend

Dr Ziam saved my mothers life. She will be 90 years old in July. He was gentle, caring and compassionate. EVERYTHING a doctor should be. And he spoke to us like people. Like he truly cared - because he DID. We just found out today about his passing . We cried like he was a true friend or family member. May he rest in the sweetest peace. My condolences to his family.

I met Sina's younger sister, Beyhan, in college, and we have been friends ever since. I had been a life-long runner, but suddenly, in my forties, I started to experience palpitations and breathlessness from what would have ordinarily been a mild running pace. I had no health insurance at the time, but Dr. Zaim was nice enough to take some of his valuable time to meet with me in his office, and diagnose my early symptoms of Atrial Fibrillation. At the time, he told me that my symptoms were mild, that no medications were required, and that my symptoms would only get worse over time, and eventually, I would either require surgery or drug therapies. He also recommended that I delay surgery for several years as the medical community perfected the surgical techniques (ablation). I followed his sage advice, eventually did get the ablation (I hated the thought of being on drugs for the rest of my life), and I have been fine ever since. God bless you, Dr. Zaim!

I have fond memories of Sina who was a classmate of mine during a wonderful Junior Year Abroad in France (academic year 1971-1972). He was very special and an integral part of a great group of people who have stayed in touch for decades. I am very saddened by his loss. In Judaism, we believe that those who pass continue to live on in the hearts of those to whom they were dear. Clearly Sina will live on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends and colleagues.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Sina Zaim. I still can't believe that I won't see him again. Dr. Zaim was my EP doctor, he literally saved my life after I was told by so many doctors that there was nothing wrong with my heart. I loved how Dr. Zaim took his time to research my health concerns. He was always so caring and thoughtful, a remarkable doctor. He was a wonderful person, my HERO! The world lost a great human being. Rest in Peace

Sina was a gentleman with a kind-hearted soul. He was one of the greatest influences on me to also pursue a career in medicine. He was my friend and mentor while I was a medical student in Philadelphia. Although our paths had subsequently separated, we were able to keep in touch over the years. I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to his family. The world is a truly a sadder place without him.

At first he was one of my teachers but later became a colleague and a friend. When he first came to UH, I was having a hard time on the wards (not unusual for an intern/resident). He sat down with me multiple times and we talked about life, medicine, cases. He gave me advice and kept me grounded at a time I really needed it. Later Sina and I became colleagues and friends and would call or consult each other for problems our patients were having. I will not soon forget him. This is a major loss loss that is hitting me personally and it hurts. Sina Zaim will be missed.

We learned of our dear classmates recent passing this afternoon with great shock and grief. I am writing as a classmate of Sinas from our Rutgers Junior Year in France. About a dozen of us gathered last fall to enjoy a reunion luncheon and we were all so happy that Sina joined us after so many years apart. We were all classmates nearly 50 years ago and all have a strong bond from our year together. We have all shared wonderful memories of Sina and I would like his family to know that we all have the best memories of a wonderful human being who was a true and caring friend to each of us. It is with our sincerest condolences to his family that we hope that you will know that Sina was both loved and respected by all of us. Our hearts go out to all of you as you mourn the loss of a special son, brother, uncle and a true friend.

I had the privilege to meet Sina back in 1971 during our study abroad year in Tours, France. We had a group reunion lunch last fall in New Jersey and I had the chance to catch up on his interesting life. So sad to think that will be the last time we can chat. He was a kind, smart man who will be missed by all his Rutgers Junior Year Abroad friends among countless others.

Had it not been for Rutgers Junior Year in Tours (France), I would probably have never met Sina, and my life would have been less rich. His smile, his kindness, his patience, his open-mindedness are gifts that he shared unstintingly. There was no one in the group who didn't love Sina, and that says a lot. Fortunately, we remained in touch at regular intervals over the years, allowing us to keep our connections fresh. We had such a happy time together last October, little imagining what lay ahead. I give thanks for having known Sina. May the memory of his goodness bring light to our lives even as we mourn.
