Magdalena Fanning Obituary
FANNING, Magdalena Cecelia Mayer Fanning (Cec) b. Jan. 22, 1919 d. Sept. 3, 2016. Born on the family farm near Kendal, Sk. Lena left home at 16 to work because of the depression. Happy times were spent working summers in Banff. She moved to Vancouver during the war, married and raised a family. In later years she became a florist and also worked as a postmistress. She moved to Penticton in 1981 to enjoy her grandchildren and retirement. She loved reading, gardening, and living in her small cabin home. Survived by daughters; Penny Lovset, Pam Willis (Grant), grandchildren; Kirsten (Cody), Tessa (Kurtyss), George (Hiliary), Joanne (Jeff), Great-grandchildren; Lyle, Logan, Liam, Noah, Lilly, Lena. Predeceased by; ex-husband Len Fanning, son-in-law Lyle Lovset and granddaughter Katie Willis. Thank you to Haven Hill Retirement Centre for their kind and thoughtful care during her final years.
