Dear Daddy, Aunt Dolores and Aunt Jean,

I know that grandmom had such a tumultuous life, and had a lot of trouble being there for you, but I also remember the look on her face everytime one of you were there to visit her, or take her to a special event, she was so happy. Grandmom had a lot of trouble seeming "happy" because of all that she had been through, but when she was in the hospital and we came to visit, she had these tears welling up in her eyes, like she was saying 'sorry' for not being the most emotionally available mother, but 'thank you' for still loving me.

Grandmom will always be remembered as a fighting spirit, who never let her outside feel the way she did on the inside. She is now at peace, and I believe, finally content.

Love you all so much, and this is not goodbye,
Brittany Jayne Furlan
