Linda and I are deeply saddened by Dan's passing. We really enjoyed his friendship. It was always a pleasure to be with him at military functions and other events. I could rely on him for being there to assist me in our missions. As senior leaders in the Guard we both shared many of the same difficulties and conferred with each other constantly on appropriate actions. Dan always seemed at peace and I admired that quality in him. I will miss him greatly. A typical greeting from him to me was; Thomas, you rascal, how are you. We shared many adventures together and we will remember him always. Sorry we cannot be with you to offer our comfort. Just remember that he is in a better place with our Lord. Our deepest sympathy at your loss.
Love Tom and Linda Van Vooren
