Marion R. Hildebrandt

Neenah - Surrounded by family at her son's home in Neenah, Marion R. Hildebrandt (nee Yeager), Neenah, WI age 95, entered peacefully into eternal life on Saturday January 2, 2021 following a short illness. Marion was born August 23, 1925 at home in Bear Creek, WI, daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Roloff) Yeager.

While working as a waitress at A&W Restaurant in Clintonville, Marion met the love of her life - Elmer A Hildebrandt. On April 27, 1946, they were united in marriage at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville. In 1951 they moved to Neenah. Elmer preceded Marion in death in 2005 a few weeks short of their 59th wedding anniversary.

After marriage, Marion devoted herself to providing a Christian home for her husband and children. She also worked part time at Lakeroad Bowling Lanes and Bradtke's Family Restaurant in Neenah alongside her best friend Lucille Strozewski.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah. Marion was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma and will be deeply missed. She will be remembered for her caring, loving, and compassionate nature.

Marion is survived by one daughter: Shirley of Neenah; three sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis (Mary) of Eau Claire, Donald (Diane) of Menasha, and David (Mary) of Neenah; Grandchildren: Amy (Nathaniel) Brugge, Elaine (Nick) Groh, Brett (Molly) Hildebrandt, Jennifer (Nathan) Heldstab, Jason Hildebrandt (fiancée Niki Ver Voort), Ehrik Hildebrandt, and John (Whitnee) Steger. Great Grandchildren: Logan and Sophia Groh, Ariana Hildebrandt, Rijko and Kai Urban, Jacob and Mackenzie Steger. Marion is further survived by brother-in-law Ray Hildebrandt, sister-in-law Leila Little, and other relatives.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and all five Yeager siblings: Ervin, Milton, Edith, Edwin and Arthur "Pete", grandson William "Willie" Hildebrandt, and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Entombment has taken place at Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum in Neenah. A recording of the service is available on the Westgor Funeral Home's Facebook page. A memorial is being established for Trinity Lutheran Church. A celebration of life for Marion will take place at a later date.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Theda Care Regional Hospital Neenah 5th floor doctors and nurses, and the At Home Hospice caregivers for their gentle and compassionate care of mom this past week.

I worked with Marion at Bradtke’s Restaurant when I was sixteen and it was my first job. She was very kind and patient with me and taught me how to be a good waitress. I’m very sorry for your loss God Bless you.
