Eduardo was a remarkable person in our lives and a truly ambassador for all Latin American students in Pitt. We will never forget the great moments shared with him, his wisdom and passion for what he did. We want to thank Eduardo for the last time for all of what he was in his prolific and devoted life.

For the longest time I thought of Eduardo as very aloof until I sat next to him at dinner. And I discovered that he was the most amusing character, and a wonderful storyteller.

Our profession and we all have lost a great man.

Despido con pesar al gran precursor y librero, llave maestra del conocimiento para los que pasamos por Pitt, pero sobre todo un símbolo del afecto y la ternura, una gran persona. Mis condolencias a familiares y amigos de Eduardo.

Eduardo was truly a gentleman, a young soul, and an inspiration to all who met him. We will cherish all the times we spent together in the past 10 years. He was a member of our Pittsburgh family, a paternal figure to all of us, a passionate advocate for fairness and an example of endless thirst for knowledge. We are really sorry that he is no longer amongst us on earth but hopeful that we will reunite one day.
