01/25/1923 - 01/03/2021 It is with deep sorrow, the children of RUBY (BOBICH) PECARICH announce the passing of their beloved mother on January 3, 2021 at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, San Pedro. Ruby, aged 97, was born January 25, 1923 in San Pedro to Tom and Ivanica (Bozin) Bobich. She attended 15th Street Elementary School, Richard Henry Dana Junior High School, and San Pedro High School. She was employed by Star Kist Foods until her retirement. She was married to Dinko "Guja" Pecarich (deceased) for fifty-four years, and is survived by her son Andrew Pecarich (wife Susan), daughter Donna Jelenic, grandchildren Deanne Inman, Andrea Perkov, Lauren Pecarich (husband Promit Roy), Kristina Thai (husband Alex), great grandchildren Tyler and Hailey Inman, sister-in-law Katie Bobich and many loved nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She was a gifted baker and amazing at knitting and crocheting. She had a generous heart and was always helping friends and family. She was well-known for her delicious and beautiful cookies that she always baked for holidays and special occasions and never said no to any request for a tray of her "goodies." She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always asking what she could do for everyone and never wanting others to do for her. Internment will be at Green Hills Memorial Park, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Little Sisters of the Poor, San Pedro. Please sign the guestbook at

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will always remember her kindness and her cookie of course. Wishing peace for your family.

I loved Ruby so much. She was truly one of a kind person. She lovingly took care of Krista when she was very young and brought Krista into her family with open arms. My heart is sad but I was so lucky to have my life touched by Ruby. Not too long ago, before we had COVID lockdown i went to see Ruby and found her, where else, playing bingo at Little Sisters of the Poor . So happy I had that opportunity to spend time with her. You will be missed Ruby and I know that you will be up in heaven looking down on us and making sure we are all safe and "being good people". Love you Ruby. Thank you for always being there for me.
