With love & sadness in our hearts we share with everyone that Stanley Joseph Mandich passed on May 13, 2021 at the age of 91 years and 49 days.
Stanley is survived by his (3) children, Christopher, Peter, Mary and their families; (7) grandchildren: Angela, David's Spirit, Crystal, Patrick, Ryan, Claire, Samantha and (3) great grandchildren, Casey, Carissa and Charlotte.
Stanley Mandich was born and raised in San Pedro, California. He enlisted in the Army in 1950 and served in Korea with the 3rd Army, 7th Armored Division earning Close Combat Badge (CCB) and Rank of Corporal (CPL). He spent most of his adult life in Los Alamitos and Long Beach and the last ten years in Oregon. "Stan-the-Man" as he was sometimes called, was owner of Southern Mechanical, a well-respected and local general mechanical company that served the refining and petroleum businesses in Southern California. Stan loved sailing, fishing, remote control model airplane building & flying and spending time with his family on Catalina Island. His faith in God, Our Blessed Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary was strong and unyielding.
Stanley and his wife, Catherine Mandich, who passed in January 2021 were Eucharistic ministers for over 30 years in the Catholic Church at both St. Hedwig's and St. Bartholomew's.
Stanley passed with grace and peace with his family by his side.
Out of concern for the national Covid-19 emergency the family is planning a small private memorial at All Souls Mortuary. They look forward to celebrating Stan and Catherine's life publicly with their friends and family at a later date.
We will miss you dad; your guidance and counseling will forever be etched in our memories. Gods Peace and Love always.
