When Carl wasn't working or volunteering, he loved spending time with family and being outdoors: hiking, camping , snorkeling and scuba diving.

Carl also had a great love for animals and had many throughout his life.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Alicia Romero and his sister Georgia Serna as well as his daughter-in-law Darla Miceli and granddaughter Lisa Miceli.

My condolences to the Romero family, and particularly Sara Romero, whom I briefly knew at the Eldorado. I remember Carl from working at Harold's Club in the '70s. He was a fine gentleman.
