Chelsea J. Schofield
MONTICELLO, IL - Chelsea J. Schofield, 18, of Monticello, passed away at 7:47 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Chelsea was born Aug. 24, 1995, in Lincoln, Ill., the daughter of Lee and Julie (Tjaden) Schofield.
She is survived by her parents, Lee and Julie Schofield of Monticello; sister, Cassandra Schofield of Monticello; grandmother, Sylvia Crawford of Carrollton, Ill.; grandfather, John Schofield of rural Roodhouse, Ill.; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herman and Marge Tjaden of Roanoke, Ill.
Chelsea was a full-time counselor at Camp CILCA and worked as a waitress. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Monticello and part-time member of the New Legacy bluegrass band. During high school she played volleyball, was a member of the FFA, won several championships in competitive swimming, and she will be remembered as a very talented musician and artist.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, the Rev. Kurtis Bueltmann officiating. Interment will be held at Monticello Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Camp CILCA.

With heart felt sympathy the Chandler family sends you their love and prayers. We just found out about your loss. Both or girls Audrey and Autumn went to camp CILCA and loved Chelsea dearly. They both would like to send Cassie their love and hugs.
