The action that your family has taken to ban assault weapons and to inspire others to take action to do the same, serves as a continual memorial to your daughter. You are doing Tikkun Alom, the most glorified of the mitzvot, and while you remember your daughter every day, the work you do was inspired by your daughter and as you continually do this work, your daughter will always be by your side guiding you. As we approach a year since that horrific day, I think about the children who went seeking and education and fell victim to the senselessness in our society and my heart breaks. But it especially breaks as I look at the individuals, such as the beautiful Alyssa, who paid the price for such senselessness. I pray for her family, that you are successfully coping with her loss and that each day gets easier and that you can see better things ahead. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Your loss is very heartbreaking and just doesnt make any sense, why these shootings keep happening, and taking away these amazing loving innocent young children. Your daughters smile is priceless! I might of not knew Alyssa but when I heard about the shooting I was devastated.

Dear Mr and Mrs Alhadeff,this is an awful notice, and i know the pain would be just so hard to explain, but, i know too that this girl on the pic is an angel now. sometimes we dont have an explanation for things like this, but we have something for sure,even in the pain we can always have the oportunity to see the rainbow again, and shes always going to be your especial angel and Gods justice and time its just so perfect, and i know that it can be so hard to understand it now, so, while we try to figure it out, we can just take a deep breath, and be calm by knowing that this angel isnt suffering now, shes playing with the flowers,laughing softy and taking care of you all, hoping to see you being strong and to shelter in Gods hands, because there is the greatest love and the madness comfort.

One of my better friends died today, we shared so many happy memories like I know so many did with her. There's always someone that people know as the sweet girl, the nice one, always smiling and makes you love life just a little more when you're with her. That's my friend. She was just 1 of 17 people taken away from us so unfairly. She was family, a part of the best part of me. Playing with her for years, across the country competing and training with each other. Going to the town pool and laughing with each other. The fondest memories from the best times, so happy. Her and her mom always were there to support me. I got my first javelin from her mother. The same one I used at Nationals and the one I will continue to use forever. She has become a big part of the best part of me, and I miss her. Please treat her well, she deserves nothing less. Her name is Alyssa Ahladeff, and she is an angel now, amongst all the others, resting in a place more worthy of her. I wrote this too late, but hope she knows I love her and I miss her and I will never forget her.
