Marilyn McDaniel Harris Marilyn McDaniel Harris, 51, who worked for the State of Florida, Department of Labor until 1995, died Thursday, January 15, 2009, Madison County, Florida. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. EST Thursday, January 22, at Abbey-Riposta Funeral Home Chapel (850-562-1518), with the Rev. Alton Golden, pastor of Apostolic Church of Tallahassee, officiating. Interment will follow in Tallahassee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Marilyn was a native Tallahassean, living here her entire life. Surviving relatives include her mother, Ruby (Deborah) McDaniel ; daughter, Stacy Marilyn Harris; brother Don R. McDaniel; one grandson, Pacarri McDaniel; niece Carly (Lennie) Miller; all are of Tallahassee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Harris; her father, G.W. McDaniel; and a nephew, Tommy McDaniel.

I was very sorry to learn of Marilyn's death. I lived near her as a teenager and went to school with her. I remember her being a very sweet person. May God bless her family and may she rest in peace.

I went to High School with Marilyn and later worked with her at the Dept of Labor, we were even roomates at one time. Marilyn was a sweet, understanding person with a BIG Heart, she will be very much missed by all. My thoughts are with her Mother and Stacie, may she rest in peace. Love you all.
