Dear Aunt Denise and family,
I will always remember Uncle Vic as a caring and thoughtful man. I still remember when he came to my wedding! As a prank, some of the groomsmen put our getaway car on blocks, so that when we pressed on the gas the wheels spun. One of my favorite wedding pictures is of Uncle Vic leading the way to push the car free (1981). When Courtney and Brittany were 11 and 13 years old (1997), we visited during a summer vacation. Our dear children coaxed Uncle Vic and Aunt Denise into playing tennis with them. As an adult I could tell they really didn't want to go out in the heat of the day, but humored the children for a little bit anyway and hit the ball around. Although we hadn't been in Tallahassee for years they were glad to see us, and show off the newest grandchildren pictures they had. I am glad he will be with his brothers and sisters, but I know how much you are going to miss him. With my deepest love and sympathy, Molly

Genny and family,
We were saddened to hear about your loss. I hope that soon you will remember just the wonderful expanse of your Dad's life, and not so much the moments limited by age and infirmity. You are fortunate to have known him for so long, but then that makes the loss that much more profound. We never want to let them go, and yet we must. Thinking of you and holding you in our hearts and our prayers,
Lucy and Jerry Hassler

Denise, Will, Jenny and Kiki,
I am sorry to learn of Victor's death. I suppose it was not a great surprise given his condition when we visited two weeks ago. I'm sorry we were not able to visit with him then; but I treasure the time I spent with Victor at Crooked Corners last November during the election.
I know Victor had always been the Old Man's best friend, and for good reason. Victor was a good, just and honorable man; a true friend to all of our family. Thank you, all of you, for being there for the Reams.
Victor will be missed by all the Reams, by all of Leon County.

I did not have the privilege of knowing Mr. Cawthon, but I worked for his son, Henri, at the Div. of Licensing and Henri must have gotten his wit from his father. My prayers go out to the family during this time.

What great memories I have of visiting the farm during my summers in Tallahassee and then during my college years. Uncle Vic was a wonderful man, whom I will always hold dear in my heart. We are thinking of you during this sad time. All of you and your families are in our prayers.

Aunt Denise, William, Jenny, and Henri:
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Victor's death. Being a man of faith and knowing how he lived his life, I am sure he is now in a better place with no illness to keep him from being the person everyone remembers. Certainly, the few memories I have of him are from my early childhood and they are all wonderful. The best thing I can say about him is that to me he was always a gentlemen. I remember his beautiful house with a great porch and an awesome pond. I thought it was the greatest thing that he and Aunt Denise had taught their dog to obey commands in French. All of these are impressions that have stayed with me for over 30 years. As I grew older and found out more about the person he was, I wished I lived closer to him to visit occasionally and get to know him from an adult's perspective. The world has truly lost a wonderful person and I am glad that I knew even just a little bit of him from a long, long time ago. You all have my deepest sympathies.

As Nelson and Georgette McArthur's youngest daughter, I have many memories of visiting Uncle Vic and Aunt Denise at their beautiful home in Tallahassee. I am so sorry to hear of his death and I know that he will be missed. I was very small the last time I saw him, but remember that he was quite a character and quite charming. I hope to spend some time in Tallahassee soon to see the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My thoughts are with the family and especially to one of the children, Henri, who is a former co-worker and friend...my prayers are with you and your family.
