Gales Ferry - Michael Steven Hillman, 55, of Gales Ferry died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London. Michael was born March 8, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio to Charles Hillman and Marylean Armstead.

Michael married Jennifer L. Gray-Hillman, she preceded him in death.

He graduated from Robert E. Fitch Senior High School, Groton in 1984. For the last 19 years, he was employed at Electric Boat in Groton.

My condolences to the Hillman family I remember Michael very well for years I always would see him and I last saw him in the Groton Walmart not too long ago he would shop there God Bless

I knew Hilly at Fitch High School. He was a great example to the younger guys. He was funny, humble and a very good player. It is difficult to lose another member of the team. RIP Hilly, Ossie and Chet. My condolences to his family.
