Nancy Elizabeth Neufeld 1924 2011 The family of Nancy Neufeld (nee Grover) are grieved to announce her passing on May 7, 2011 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon following a brief illness. Nancy was born January 2, 1924 in Farnham, Surrey, England to Walter and Annie Grover. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was always of utmost importance to her. Left to grieve her passing are her four children, Linda (Bernie) Schaefer, Sharon (Gordon) Martens, Walter (Diane) Neufeld and Loretta (Frank) Richter; nine grandchildren, Bridget (Doug) Mawson, Paul Schaefer (Sheri), Shantelle (Steven) Greenwood; Lowell Martens, Cherise (Derek) Clark; Clinton (Rachel) Neufeld, Nicole (Quintin) Guenther; Shannon Richter and Sabrina Richter; 15 great-grandchildren: Brenden, Allysha, Michael, Matthew, Megan, Kristen, Kelsey, Carter, Evan, Elijah, Isaiah, Keenan, Sylas, Mataya, Trinity; and two great-great grandchildren, James and Brayley. She is survived by one sister Doris Kemp in Farnham, England and her family, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law as well as nephews and nieces and her special cousin Phyllis Husby. She was pre-deceased by husband Arthur, brother-in-law Arthur Kemp and one granddaughter Natalie Schaefer. Nancy spent a happy childhood in England until WWII came and altered life for everyone. During the war she met Arthur Neufeld, a Canadian soldier stationed at camp Borden, England. They were married July 31, 1943 in Farnham, Surrey. Arthur left for Canada in May of 1945, and Nancy joined him in March of 1946. They made their home in Warman, SK where Nancy resided till her passing. During that time Nancy ran the Warman post office and through this effort she managed to meet most of the people of Warman area and very quickly developed life long friendships with many of them. Nancy was a member of the Saskatchewan War Brides society. She was actively involved in community events all her life. There will be a public visitation on Wednesday, May 11 at 7:30 pm at Martens Funeral Home in Warman. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 2 pm at St. John's Lutheran church, South Railway Street in Warman. Arrangements entrusted to MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (934-4888).

Thinking of your family at this time. It's hard to lose a Mother/Grandmother. We laid ours to rest one week ago today. Our Mom (Helen Martens) enjoyed your Mother's company when she lived in the condo. Cherish the Memories!
