Robin LAMB

CAPTAIN ROBIN LAMB (ret.)
Died peacefully at his home in Point Roberts, Wash. on June 18. Born in Tisdale, Sask. in 1945 to Bob and Hazel Lamb, Robin was passionate about aviation. Soon after earning a B.Comm. and a B.A. at U. of S. he joined Air Canada where he had long and interesting career. Beyond his working life, he was an avid traveller with a vibrant curiosity about other lands and people. In 1996, Robin moved from Vancouver to Point Roberts where he purchased an overrun air strip. Over the next years, with great perseverance and enthusiasm, he transformed the property into Point Roberts Air Park [1RL]. Noted for his friendly demeanour and his wide range of interests, he was highly regarded as an interesting companion, and as a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and partner. His family has great memories from Kipabiskau Lake - wakeboarding, picking berries, fishing and roasting marshmallows. Robin is survived by his mother Hazel, sons Josh and Thomas, and stepdaughter Jessica Starr, (children of Susan Louise Buchanan); sons Noah, Micah, and Daniel (children of Manninagh L'Abbe); sisters Susan Lamb (Hugh Barker) and Marsha Lamb (Stuart Hooper). A memorial gathering will take place at Point Roberts Community Center, 1487 Gulf Road, Point Roberts, WA at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, June 23rd.
