Things I will always remember about Martha Lou:

Her smile
Her bright blue eyes
Playing cards on the screen porch with her on the river
Her offering to help me get a car when I didn’t have one
Her fierce loyalty to family and friends
Her laughter
Her hospitality
Her walk (more like a shimmy)
Her love of Jaguars
The way she clothed herself
Her love of people and the interest she took in them
Her cole slaw

And all the other memories that will come along and along as time passes... to know Martha Lou was to be LOVED by her. She was a most extraordinary and unforgettable person. The fiery spirit that fueled Martha Lou lives on in Tanci and Taylor, strong and Southern female, worthy, noteworthy and honorable.
I’m happy and Blessed to have known such a wonderful person.
The world just lost another beautiful saint, and precious in the sight of our God is the passing of His saints

I have been blessed to have known Martha Lou... what a great lady. I was so sad to hear this news of her passing, but know she is at peace. Tanci, I am at a loss for words for you , knowing she was your best friend too and the best mom a girl could have... she has left a wonderful legacy with you as most of us have already seen her spirit in you. I am so grateful to have had the honor of knowing your sweet Martha Lou... God bless you, your father and the rest of your family as you go through these tough days ahead. Denise and Robert Mitchum
