Jose C. of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 74 years of age. Beloved husband of Alda (Carvalho) Rebelo of 49 years. Son of the late Antonio & Constance (Cabral) Rebelo. Loving father of Paul G. Rebelo & his wife Cheryl of Rehoboth, Joseph E. Rebelo of Attleboro, Nelson Rebelo also of Attleboro and the late Joseph E. Rebelo infant son. Cherished grandfather to Brent, Caitlynn, Adriana, Lily and Haylee and great-grandfather to Paizley. Adored brother to Maria Correia of Attleboro and the late Gabriel Rebelo and Antonio Rebelo. Brother-in-law of Lorenio Carvalho of Portugal, Jose M. Carvalho of Fall River, Berta Rocha of Canada, and Maria Rebelo and Connie Rebelo both of Attleboro. Jose also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Jose was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal and served in the Portuguese military in Guinea, Africa. He worked for many years at Engelhard & Wolverine and was a member of the Portuguese American Club. He loved to make wine, loved gardening, traveling, being with family, telling jokes, playing with his grandchildren and loved his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, February, 17, 2021 from 5-8 PM. The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 9 AM from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 71 Linden Street, Attleboro. Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery. To ensure everyone's safety during the Covid pandemic, a mask is required and please maintain social distancing.
