Russell D. Hughes
Russell D. Hughes, 57, of Walnutport, died Tuesday in his home. He was the husband of Debra (Bittner) Hughes. They observed their 37th anniversary last May.
He was a mechanic for various auto body shops in the area.
Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Russell A. and Beatrice (Andrews) Hughes.
He was a member of the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post, the Moose Lodge and the Skeet Club, all of Slatington.Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Michele, wife of Chad Horn of Slatington, and Nicole, wife of Chris Nothstein of Lehighton,; four brothers, Ethan, Terry, Rodney and Roy; a stepbrother, Charles Scitney; four stepsisters, Pauline Hardy, Pat Schock, Kim Sandt and Karen Smith; and two granddaughters.
The Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington, is in charge of the arrangements.
