I first met David when I was 18 at Denny's hanging with a crowd of kids. We remained friends through his stint in the Army and being overseas, his work at Channel 11 and all the years after. Our lives would separate and then out of the blue he would call on my birthday to remind me I was older than he was and we'd be back to calling each other catching up on the parts of our lives we had missed out on. His sense of humor, caring and love of movies and music and his smile will be greatly missed. Mostly I will miss those birthday phone calls and his giving me a bad time and saying " So, when are you going to come over and give me one of your famous back rubs?" The thousand memories he left behind as my friend will be fondly recalled from being able to hear him coming in his Mustang when we were in our 20's, to his smile when he unexpectedly showed up dressed in his uniform that Christmas, to the movies we saw, the music he would play for me over the phone. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Dave and I worked together for quite a few years and I always admired his extremely quick wit, sharp mind and great sense of humor. He was good at his job and cared about doing it well. Dave knew more about music and movies than anyone I ever met. I know he loved his family and he talked about them all the time. Dave was a good friend and I miss him.

David was the cool friend of the older guys down the street Steve and Eddie Jones. They were always working on their muscle cars and us younger kids would always hang around to watch them race up and down the road back in the late 70's early 80's. Dave would show up with his 65 Mustang and get out with that swagger. As I got older I would hang out with him and Steve at Dave's house in Spanaway on Sundays and watch football. I also would run into him at Tower records on 38th at night after he was done working at KSTW and we would talk music and look through all the records. Fun times! He was just a great nice guy. RIP David and prayers of comfort and peace to your mom and family.

''This is a hard loss and my thoughts to Dave's loving family. I have always considered him a friend even when we hadn't seen each other over time. Lots of great years working with, talking, sharing experiences and ideas. Too young

You captured my heart in 2000 and there you will stay until we meet again...forever. I will always love you and miss our daily conversations and the sharing of feelings only we understood. You were my confidant, rock and best friend no matter the miles between us. I can't selfishly wish you back knowing what you had been going through, but am thankful knowing you are finally at peace and remembering all the joyful times we were blessed to share.
