Eleanor L. Alhemovich

Eleanor L. Alhemovich, 87, of Wakefield died on Saturday, July 16 at the Wakefield Care and Rehab Center. Born in Watertown on November 3, 1923 and raised in East Boston she was the daughter of the late Salvatore L. and Antoinetta L. (Ingo) Trapasso. Mrs. Alhemovich was a long time member of the Wakefield #1734 OSIA Lodge, State Deputy to the Melrose #1931 OSIA Lodge, U.S. Navy Memorial member, Raytheon Quarter Century Club members and a member of the Paul Revere Chapter of the Retired Officers Association. Mrs. Alhemovich was the devoted and loving wife of 56 years to the late Cdr. John S. Alhemovich, USN. She was the cherished mother of Carolyn L. Prieskorn and her husband George of Wakefield, dear mother of J. Gary Alhemovich of Deltona, FL and beloved mother of the late Cheryl A. Alhemovich. Devoted grandmother of Kristen E. Perone and Sharalyn E. Lima both of Wakefield. Beloved loving great grandmother of Miss Faith Quinn, Kyle Quinn and John and Joy Perone all of Wakefield. Predeceased by two precious great grandchildren Caleb Ryan and Lily Rose Perone. Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
