When I knew John, he went by the name of Clint. We served together in the Army at Ft.Hood and at Graffenwoehr, Germany. Clint and I were in the 2nd Bn, 66th Armor. We spent a lot of time "in the field" on maneuvers and live fire gunnery exercises; cleaning our weapons afterward. We worked on our vehicles in the motor pool and hung around the barracks. I last time I visited him in 1977 at his house he shared with his grandmother in south San Antonio. He was proud of showing me his turtles and snakes. We spoke on the phone occasionally through the years catching up and reminiscing always promising to get together. I wished we had. Clint was a good guy and easy going. He should have lived to be an old man. It would have been nice, him signing my obituary guest book.

I just found out about Clinton's passing. He was a childhood and life long friend of my brother. Condolences sent from the Stockton family. May Clinton rest in peace.
