Thomas L. Hunsberger

Thomas Lee Hunsberger, age 54 of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Tom was born on February 18, 1963 in Sterling, the son of Leo F. and Audrey B. (Dornbusch) Hunsberger. He was a United States Army Veteran. Tom married Karen M. Perris on July 18, 2014 in Rock Falls. He was employed by Rehrig Pacific Logistics in Rock Falls. Survivors include his wife, Karen; two sons, Travis Hunsberger of Rock Falls and Tristan (Jennifer) Hunsberger of Rock Falls; two daughters, Trina (Joe) Ballard of Rock Falls and Tressa Hunsberger of Rock Falls; one step-son, Christopher Perris of Rock Falls; one step-daughter, Lisa (Jimmy) Bopes of Sterling; thirteen grandchildren; one brother, Steven (June) Hunsberger of Libertyville, IL; four sisters, Jeannie (Joel) Hepler of Rock Falls, Patricia (Jeff) Nehrkorn of Rock Falls, Debra (Stephen) Crozier of Avon, IN and Connie (Tony) Skinner of Rock Falls; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Hunsberger. Visitation will be Monday, October 30, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Durham. Military honors will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established in his memory.
