During my high school and early college years I worked for Jack at JAX Auto Parts. I learned incredible social and human interaction skills from Jack. He taught me to engage with every single person that came into that shop.. and back in the day when people fixed their own cars, the line was out the door on weekends. We would get a small % of the sales as a small bonus on the weekends...IHe got us all charged up to sell . t was a great learning experience for me and he was a great role model. I will never forget his "two for one deals" his enormous energy to sell and move product and to be flexible and negotiable... A kind man with a big heart. He would run out into the parking lot and change wiper blades for the women that came in...A "proper" flirtation and sale!

I'm so very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He was one of the kindest people I've ever known. I remember that he and Joyce made a special trip to visit my mother in her nursing home after my father's death. They spent a whole afternoon reminiscing and comforting her. I was very touched and very grateful. My deepest condolences to Kathleen and all the family and friends - from Joyce's "cousin", Janet Duyckinck Smith.

My fondest memory will always be the road trip Jackie and I took a across the country together in 2012. The many memories of the years in Scotch Plains and Watchung.....the times we shared at JAX....all of the precious time spent together with our families...Love shared...Cousin Jackie, you will be missed...May you rest in God's hands, your cousin, Aaron
