I had two children pass through Mr. Mac's class, and my son enjoyed the political club run by him very much. We were very sorry to hear of his passing. My kids had several stories and funny memories that they shared with each other upon hearing the sad news. Our thoughts are with his family.

Our family was saddened by the news of Mr. Macs passing. Mr. Mac was one of those teachers that taught with enthusiasm and really made an impact. My son would come home often with stories. One day asked if we could buy him a plane ticket to go on his trip to Florida. My son knew of the pain he was in when sitting for too long and thought a plane ride would be quicker and less painful. It made my heart smile that a teacher could impact a young teen and bring out compassion. ❤

Mr. Mac was one of my favorite teachers in all my years as a student in the Londonderry school system. He was a kind and happy man who always challenged me to see the other side of every story. Ill never forget the times we spent together in the political club, including when he brought us to then Senator Barack Obamas rally at Macks Apples. Memories that will absolutely last a lifetime. My prayers go out to his family and friends in this difficult time.

When I learned of your passing I didnt know what else to do but cry. I started listening to all the old music you and I would listen to after school when I would stay for political club or just to hang out with you for a little bit. Bands like the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, David Bowie, Tom Petty all were the first things that came to my mind. So at first I played sad music, but then I realize thats not what you wouldve wanted. I then began listening to all the happy and dazy songs of the 70s and cried some more ha ha. Its just extremely difficult to believe that you are gone. You had such a big impact on my life and a time that was very difficult. Youre my best friend and you helped me through so much. I can vividly remember your voice, your stories, and your laugh from class. Thank you for everything, Mr. Mac. You were and still are a true angel. Thank you. Rest easy.
To Brenda and family, I am so sorry for your loss, Mr. Mac was such an amazing and kind man. I hope peace finds you all soon and the grieving passes quickly. Much loved and warm hugs to all of you.

Peace and love

Bobby MAC is one of the kindest spirits I have ever known. I cant think of a better man to inspire young adults through their middle school years. I knew Bobby from his Lake Forest College days. Great hockey player. Super fun to be around. All of your friends mourn your loss Bobby. My heart goes out to you Brenda and your wonderful family. I will be sending a donation to the Activity Fund. I invite my LFC brothers to join me. Rest In Peace Bobby. You certainly brought peace to everyone you touched. God Bless my brother.

Bobby was a butterfly, full of poetry. He was a good friend who had literature, music, and history in his arsenal of good cheer. I love you, Robert Maclellan. Thank you for always being there and knowing just when and how to drop the perfect poem or poet or piece of lyrical music into my consciousness. You are a nourisher of hearts and minds. I say are and not were because those moments are out of time and place. Love always. It was an honor to have you in my life.

I have vivid memories of Bobby's athleticism in soccer and tennis at Trinity-Pawling School where I coached him. He had an infectious positivity that made him a terrific teammate. From other responses I read that education has lost one of its great teachers! Condolences to family and friends. Ned

I was really sad when I heard of the passing of Mr. Mac. I had him for a teacher when he was on the Thunderstorm Team for Geography during the 2009 to 2010 School Year. It was one of my favorite years I had at school in memory. He was an awesome teacher to me and someone I really was close to at Londonderry Middle School. Mac was a role model, friend, teacher, and mentor to me. I learned a lot from him as a student and still remember everything
he taught me to this day. I love you Mr. Mac. Im going to miss you very much. My Thoughts and Prayers are with your family.
