MOSS _ Charles "Herb" It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Herb Moss (formerly of Richmond, BC). He passed away at the age of 85 years on July 15, 2005, surrounded by his family. Herb will be sadly missed by his daughters Arlene (Earl) Glinter and Roxy (Raymond) Muller of Winnipeg, MB; also grandchildren Shawn (Nicole) Glinter of Nashville, TN., Yale and Debbie Glinter and Lealand Muller of Winnipeg, MB. Also, mourning his loss are sister and brother-in-law Seema and Harold Siegal of Lakewood, CA; brother Al Moss; brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Ruth Moscovitch of Winnipeg, MB; sister-in-law Rochelle Moss of Vancouver, BC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Herb was predeceased by his wife Lil Moss (1996) and his parents Israel and Sara Moscovitch. Herb was born on March 7, 1920. He met Lil and they married on June 4, 1944, in Winnipeg. They moved to Kingston, ON, where he was stationed in the armed forces till they moved back to Winnipeg in 1945 where they remained till 1984 when they moved to Richmond, BC upon retirement. He was a boys' and mens' clothing manufacturers agent from 1946-1984. He returned to Winnipeg to be with his children and family in 1998. Herb was a member of the following various organizations: North West Traveler's Association, Menorah Lodge A F & M where he was a past master, Khartum Shriners and the Ritualistic Unit of Khartum, Richmond Country Club and the Beth Tikvah congregation in Richmond, BC. He was an avid golfer and an ardent traveler. His family always enjoyed their trips they made together. He was a loving and caring individual who could always be counted on by his family and friends. A Graveside Service was held at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park Cemetery, on July 18, 2005. The family would like to thank Rabbi Balsar. The Pallbearers were Yale Glinter, Gabe Brojges, Steven Moscovitch, Arnold Packer, Dr. Charles Bernstein, and Brian Fleishman. Honourary Pallbearers were Jerry M. Moscovitch, Raymond and Lealand Muller, Earl and Shawn Glinter. Shiva was observed at Earl and Arlene Glinter's, 27 Envoy Crescent, Winnipeg, MB. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the various Home Care workers he had. We would like to also express a very special thank-you to the staff on Appletree Lane and the various other support staff at Miscercordia Place for their care and compassion in looking after Dad and making his last days comfortable. They truly are special people. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
