Margaret TINGLEY

TINGLEY _ Margaret E. passed away peacefully on Aug 12 at Gibsons Garden Inn. Born on May 31st, 1906 at Annapolis Royal, N.S. she attended Acadia University and worked for the Dept. of Agriculture before marrying Rev. Ray Tingley in 1932. They resided in West Point Grey for the last 55 years, spending their summers at their Crescent Beach home. Margaret was very active in the W.C.T.U., Voice of Women, Ridge Bowling, W.P.G. Lawn Bowling and Fairview Baptist Church. Predeceased by Ray in 1996, she is survived by her son Richard (Kathy), daughter Beverly Wilcox (Phil); 4 grandchildren Katannya, Brad (Wanda), Aaron and Alana and 2 great-grandchildren, Christopher and Bennet. Margaret will be greatly missed by the many, many friends that she made so easily and especially by the many foes that she vanquished on the tennis courts, scrabble and crokinole, and any other arena that she chose to compete in. A Memorial service and celebration of Margaret's life will be held at Fairview Baptist Church, 1708 West 16th Ave, Vancouver on October 15th, 2003 at 7:30 pm.
