What can we say about Alan. How do you sum up a lifetime of friendship in just a few words. Alan, Barbara and the girls were as close as any of my family. The smile, the laughter, the willingness to go the extra mile to help out a friend in need. The loyalty, the dedication, the fairness, the devotion. All this and still we barely scratched the surface of what this man meant to us and our family. When my father was at his lowest Alan was always there to help pick him up. The road trips to New Jersey. The rounds of golf. Always teaching, always with a smile. When we needed someone to help oversee my younger brother financial account, of course it was Alan who was in charge and there was never a question of trust. Still, with all this, and we haven't even begun to describe the man. Everyone in my family, my father and mother who were of their generation and the best of friends, and us kids have all shed tears on this. I can only hope that what he gave of himself and the lessons he taught will live on through our actions because that will be the least we can do in his memory and in his honor. Sending the whole family nothing but love and although we are hurting, we are laughing because to be around him you couldn't help but laugh also.

I do not remember a time we spent together that there wasn’t laughter and joke telling. The Rosenblums will miss you.
