Robert "Bob" Coleman, passed away April 4, 2020, the day after his 66th birthday, after a short but courageous battle with throat cancer. Bob grew up in Dover and graduated from Dover-Sherborn High School in 1972. He was a self-employed painter for 30 years. For the past nine years Bob was employed with FedEx. He truly enjoyed his job and all of the people he worked with at the Raynham facility. Bob was respected and appreciated for his incredible work ethic. He gave the same passion and pride to his personal life. He loved working with his hands, maintaining his home and his land, it was his private sanctuary. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette Lawlor-Coleman, his brothers, Danny and Mark, and a sister Mary Jane, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded by his parents, Robert N. and Joan B. (Servais). He will be incredibly missed by all who loved him. A private service was held last week at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. The arrangements were gracefully handled by Keohane Funeral Home of Quincy, during these unprecedented and difficult times. Bob loved music. He had always talked of learning to play guitar. To support young, aspiring musicians in the Boston area, to experience that opportunity of learning a musical instrument, you can make a donation in Bobs memory to Making Music Matters at or donations may also be mailed to Making Music Matters, P.O. I have just finished reading of Bobby's passing. I have not been in contact with Bobby since the mid-70's but from time to time think of him with great fondness. I was thinking of him today and found his obituary. I spent all my summers on Lake Winnepauket at my grandparents' cottage. It was especially fun because Bobby was always there to share good times of card games, waterskiing, and mutual lake friends. I remember his parents and how welcoming they were to me. It was a special time in my life on this lake. To Mark, Mary Jane and Danny, I am sorry for your loss. Bobby was such a sweet person. I know you will miss him terribly. I will remember him with that sweet smile. God Bless You and his wife and all his family.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Coleman family. As a young girl who lived next door in Dover on Maple Lane I would see Bobby and Mark as I played with Mary Jane. Will keep you all in my prayers.

So sorry to hear of this deep loss for all those who will love and miss him.
We were both in the Class of 72, and although I didn't know him well, my heart goes out to his family and friends.

To my brother Bobby ,
The wonderful memories growing
Up in Dover and all the great time spent together
In Newhampshire a place you absolutely loved
You had such a gift working with your hands you could build anything from tree forts to sheds to beautiful docks to stone walls you showed so much passion in all your projects. Bobby was a wonderful brother could talk to you about anything you loved the weather we would get a north easter and you would be on the phone telling me how much snow we got you loved your sports Redsox and patriots all our wonderful conversations championships. You took so much pride in your beautiful home the yard absolutely let's say perfect not a leaf or twig to be found and your love for your garden with Annette picking fresh vegetables together and of course your love for music and a beer . I always called you Booby I miss you deeply love you so much and forever.

To my cousin Bobby who I have fond memories of both in Dover and especially at the camp in New Hampshire.

I will never forget watching Bobby work on the deck, beach and property keeping it pristine.

Bobby was a special, down-to-earth hard working person who will be dearly missed by all.
