Fond memories of Charlie's visits to the UK, when he would stay with my mum and dad (Suffolk) and visited us in London too, where I lived with our family. We always exchanged banter about the cricket, amongst other things, and he was always cheery and interested in what our girls were up to too. Tara, my daughter, was in Sydney in early December 2024 and although didn't have much spare time, had tried to visit Charlie but it was the weekend and there was no answer from reception when she called so she didn't make the trip there in case she couldn't get in. She did send him an Australian Christmas card though, from us all (we always exchanged xmas cards), which hopefully he received. Another good man now departed, but happy memories remaining.

A lovely man and fellow race goer. We chatted many times in the Members at Royal Randwick. One of natures gentlemen. I will miss seeing you Charlie at the races. Carmel Kenniff
