Joan passed away peacefully Monday 16.12.24 surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of Colin (dec), adored mother of Andrew, Heather and Ian and their families.
A funeral service for Joan was held Monday 30.12.24 by Ann Wilson Funerals, Mona Vale.

Mum is missed for her clear mind, incredible memory and love for everyone, especially her grandchildren. Rest peacefully now. A long life with a legacy through her book "Headhunters, Cannibals & Missionaries of the Solomon Islands. Her memoirs growing up on Petats, & records of her father & mother's work with health, education & changing cultural habits to one of feeling safe with living next to villages feared in the past.
