MACMILLAN
Thomas Andrew
Redeemer Baptist Church community, Oatlands
09/11/1934 - 20/12/2024
Thomas and his wife of 67 years, Margaret, committed themselves to a life of faithful service to Jesus Christ and His church. Their three daughters – Carolyn, Heather and Kylie – shared this joy in serving together. And, in Jesus, 'Uncle Tom' had numerous sons, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren in the family of Redeemer Baptist Church.
Uncle Tom tirelessly served in ministry at any time of the day and night, including emergencies, with his extensive electrical and other practical skills. He was always generous. He contributed significantly, financially and personally, to the founding of Redeemer Baptist School and then passed on his skills and serving heart to the next generations.
Thomas miraculously lived for 90 years – always at church, often enjoying morning tea with the builders – unstoppable despite various serious medical challenges.
As a husband, father, uncle and friend, Thomas was much loved by all his Redeemer family.
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. [Romans 12:1]
