An attentive, thoughtful and modest man you could not fault. Sadly missed by more than I think he would have realised.

It's been a privilege to have worked with Ian in Alcatel. I used to visit Ian's workplace every now and then; he was always responsive to my requests, always gentle, pleasant, sometimes rather serious, but at times sent me away with a joke making me laughing all the way back to my own work-station. Ian will be missed, by me and no doubt by other colleagues. RIP Ian.

He had some wonderful qualities, he was patient, methodical, very intelligent and yes, impeccable manners. A unique character and a really nice person to have known.

The world lost a true gentleman.
He reached his final destination in life and is now united with our Lord and Savior.

I had the privilege of working with Ian, he was much respected and he was always very professional and helpful.
He had a humorous side too, which I much appreciated.
But above all he had the stature of a real gentleman.
