Aged 60 years.
Passed away on Saturday 8.11.14 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Former State Member of Parliament for Preston and former Assistant Secretary of the HEF no. 2. He will be sadly missed.
Beloved husband of Judi, loving father of Sarah and Samuel. A man who believed in and delivered on his social justice values.
Privately cremated at his own request.

Very Sorry to Hear about Michaels early departure from this life . I have many fond memories of him during our time training at royal park especialy his fabulous chocolate cake ( the choc rum one and the black forest ) . But of course his contribution as the union organiser remains unsurpassed. Cheers , Derith Harris

Special memories of the political office of the early 90s. Always remembered as a wonderful person by me. Saddened, as I felt Michael had more to give. Sympathy to Judi, Sarah, Sam and family.

Michael was a special person and I am really honoured to have known him. He was loyal and generous to so many who worked with him. I will always miss him.
