Bill was greatly admired and loved as minister to the people of Sea Lake in the 1960's, his calm, wise counsel was valued by all sectors in the town and Mallee farms. He maintained contact with many in his congregation for the next sixty years. They all thank him for his excellent pastoral care and friendship.

The World would be a better place if there were more Bill Pughs!
Bill was the most sweet, encouraging and genuine man you could ever encounter.
He was steadfast in his Christian fellowship, and an incredibly wise counsellor and mentor to future generations of those engaged in pastoral care in any setting.
Bill´s message was always astute and humble, but also ethically strong. As such he would not bow to expedience. His legacy will resonate for decades to come.
We have sadly lost a truly wonderful man. Bill inspired thousands of students and hundreds of colleagues with his sincerity, common sense and passion for education.
Vale dear Bill.
