James "Jim" Wallace McWilliams, beloved husband of Trudy McWilliams, passed away on January 29, 2017 at the age of 78 years.
Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Jim grew up to become a Master Warrant Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 29 years, serving from 1955 to 1984. He was awarded the Canadian Decoration, Second Clasp. Jim then worked as a civilian for the Department of National Defence as a Life Cycle Maintenance Manager from 1984 to 1997.
Jim enjoyed his hobbies, which included curling, softball and wine making. Jim was a kind, generous and funny individual, who will be missed by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Trudy; his children, Mike and Ken, Wendy and Lee; step-daughter, Sonya and Udo; grandchildren, Megan and Jessica; step-granddaughter Romy; his cousin Nancy; and friends, Jim, Mary-Lou, Roger, Hellen, Sylvia and Ray.
A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive) on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with a reception to follow at the home of Jim and Trudy McWilliams.
Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to thank Care west Sarcee Hospice staff for all their support and care. They would also like to thank Dr. Wesley Jackson for his dedicated support.
