Doris Eisnor Obituary

Doris Lilian Eisnor 1920-2020 Doris Eisnor (nee Bradley) passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2020, from Covid, at the Parkside Extendicare, in Regina. For 100 years and 27 days, Doris brought joy to everyone who met her, she exemplified what kindness and caring could be. Doris was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Stuart Eisnor; daughter Cindy Lee; parents Scott and Annie Bradley; her 4 brothers and sisters - Eric (Ruby), Ken, Violet and Inez (Ted Davis); sisters in law Faye (Robbie Sillers) and Gwen (Tom Conroy); son in law Lindsay Anderson; and step great grandson Avery Bashnick. She is survived by her loving family, son Don Eisnor (Linda), grandson Nolan (Kerri), great-grandsons Rylan and Kelan; grandson Jonathan (Jenn), great-granddaughter Charlee; grandson Brendan (Cheryl); daughter Joan Anderson, grandson Dan (Melinda), great-grandson Dylan, great-granddaughter Brittany, great great-granddaughters Hayden and Raina, great-granddaughters Teah and Chloe, grandson David Anderson (Chris), great-granddaughter Hailey, great-great-grandson Kyani, great-granddaughters Cassidy and Sydney; son Glen Eisnor (Joyce), granddaughter Leah (Jason Salmon), great-granddaughters Logan and Colbi, grandson Scott, great-grandson Lucius and great-granddaughter Emra, granddaughter Shannon (Vick Prakash), great-grandsons Jayce and Alister; son Rick Eisnor (Arlene), grandson Andrew John (Carmen), great-grandsons Ethan and Parker, grandson Travis (Shyanne), granddaughter Brandy (Brian). She also leaves behind her beloved sister-in-law Irene Martins and her many nieces & nephews. Doris was born on the family farm, North of Woodrow, SK. She was the youngest of 5 children, and had intended to be a nurse, but when the Great Depression made that dream an impossibility, she committed to bringing light and joy to her family and friends. In track and field, she loved the high jump, and as a pitcher she always had her sister Violet behind the plate. Later in life, she could still make your hand sting with her fast ball. Doris was an avid reader and loved her garden and flowers. She was committed to lifelong learning, volunteering at the library, taking music lessons, university classes, and learning how to make beautiful ceramics. Doris was always there for her family and friends, a great listener, she could keep a secret, but more importantly, get anyone to share their secret when it would make them and their situation better. She was always there for her little ones, becoming very adept at tying skates for her grandchildren, and was always their biggest fan. She will be missed but never forgotten by her loving family and her Woodrow, Yorkton, Craik, Moose Jaw, Assiniboia and Regina friends. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of her amazing life is being planned for the summer of 2021. In memory of Doris, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
